Jim has been involved with the Harron companies since working as a summertime cable television service technician during high school for Harron Cable TV. In 1996, Jim began his professional career with Harron and has held several positions in the Harron companies through the years. Jim currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Harron Ventures, LLC. Before the 2018 formation of Harron Ventures, Jim served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Harron Communications, L.P., a cable television system holding company. Jim received his BA in Economics from Colorado State University and has taken postgraduate courses at Villanova University and The Wharton School and the MBA Program at Penn State University. Jim served on the board of the American Cable Association and currently serves on the boards of Sageworth Trust Company and Cradles to Crayons.
Ryan joined the Harron companies in 2008 and has served as the President of Harron Ventures, LLC since 2020. Before the 2018 formation of Harron Ventures, Ryan served as the Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Harron Communications, L.P., a cable television system holding company, where he was responsible for programming, human resources, field operations, and legal functions. Prior to joining the Harron companies, Ryan was a partner in the business and finance practice group at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP where his practice focused on mergers and acquisitions, public and private offerings of securities, and the general representation of public and emerging growth companies. Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ryan was an associate in the corporate department of Davis Polk & Wardwell, New York. Ryan received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Emory University and a juris doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania Law School where he served as Comments Editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review. Ryan currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Casla Dental Parent, LLC, and is the Chairman of the Philadelphia Advisory Board of Team IMPACT. Ryan previously served as a member of the Board of Managers of Harron Communications, LLC, and the Board of Directors of the National Cable Television Cooperative.
Shawn currently serves as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Harron Ventures. Having joined the Harron companies in 1991, Shawn has held multiple financial roles over the years including Senior Financial and Treasury Analyst, Controller, and Chief Financial Officer. As Chief Financial Officer of Harron Communications, L.P., Shawn was responsible for all financial reporting including audits and compliance, the establishment of financial controls and procedures, debt financing, compliance of the company's credit facilities, and cable system acquisitions. Shawn received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Pennsylvania State University in 1988 and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Villanova University in 1997.
